Frequently asked questions
What exactly is Recover90?
Recover90 is Soccer Supplement's all-in-one recovery drink, developed with professional footballers. In a single shaker, it provides whey protein (isolate), fast carbohydrates, electrolytes and BCAAs to rehydrate you, refill your energy stores and repair your muscles after a match or training session.
What does a serving of Recover90 contain?
A 70 g serving provides 31 g of protein (whey isolate), 30 g of carbohydrate (dextrose and fructose), about 8.5 g of BCAAs (including nearly 4 g of leucine), 487 mg of electrolytes (sodium and potassium) and just 0.1 g of fat.
When should I take Recover90?
Ideally within 30 minutes of the end of a match or training session. This is when your body is most receptive to rebuilding its glycogen stores and kick-starting muscle repair. It is particularly useful after matches, intense sessions and when games come thick and fast.
How do I prepare Recover90?
Mix one 70 g serving (two scoops) with cold water in your shaker, shake for a few seconds and it's ready. Adjust the amount of water to the texture you prefer.
What is the difference between Recover90 and a standard whey?
A standard whey mainly provides protein. Recover90 goes further: in addition to whey isolate, it contains carbohydrates to refill the energy used during the match and electrolytes to make up for sweat losses (a footballer can lose more than a litre of sweat per match). It is complete recovery in a single serving.
How many servings are in a 1 kg tub?
A 1 kg tub contains about 14 servings of 70 g. Taken after every match and after your most intense sessions, a tub lasts about 3 to 5 weeks depending on how often you use it.
Is Recover90 allowed in competition?
Yes. Recover90 is Informed Sport certified: every batch is tested to check for the absence of substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). That is why it is used by professional footballers and elite clubs subject to anti-doping controls.
Which flavours are available?
Recover90 is available in three flavours: strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. All three mix easily with water in a shaker.
Does Recover90 contain lactose or allergens?
Recover90 is made from whey protein isolate, which comes from MILK. The isolate contains very little lactose, but the product is not lactose-free: it is not recommended if you have a milk protein allergy. It is sweetened with sucralose, and the strawberry version is naturally coloured with beetroot.
Who can take Recover90? Does it replace a meal?
Recover90 is designed for adult footballers, amateur and professional alike, who want to optimise their recovery. If you are under 18, ask a doctor or nutritionist for advice. It is not a meal replacement: it complements a varied and balanced diet, and should be followed by a proper meal within a few hours.
