Frequently asked questions
What is Activ Hydrate and what is it for?
Activ Hydrate is an effervescent electrolyte tablet developed by Healthspan Elite to help athletes replace the minerals lost through sweat during exertion (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium) and to maintain optimal hydration before, during and after training or a match.
How many electrolytes does one Activ Hydrate tablet contain?
Each low-calorie tablet contains 300 mg of sodium, 100 mg of potassium, 40 mg of calcium and 20 mg of magnesium, a combination designed to make up for mineral losses caused by heavy sweating.
How do I use Activ Hydrate tablets?
Dissolve one tablet in 500 ml of water, in a water bottle or a shaker, then drink before, during or after exercise. You can take up to 4 tablets a day, without exceeding the recommended dose.
Is Activ Hydrate allowed in competition (anti-doping)?
Yes, Activ Hydrate is Informed Sport® certified. The product has been tested by the LGC anti-doping laboratory for a wide range of substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), an essential guarantee for licensed players.
Is Activ Hydrate vegan and gluten-free?
Yes, Activ Hydrate tablets are gelatine-free, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free, which makes them suitable for most athletes' diets.
What do Activ Hydrate tablets taste like?
Activ Hydrate is available in two flavours: Red berries mix (Berry Burst) and Lemon burst (Citrus), both lightly flavoured for a refreshing drink that is pleasant to sip during exertion.
Is Activ Hydrate low in calories?
Yes, each tablet is formulated to be low in calories, so you can hydrate and top up your electrolytes without excessive calorie intake, unlike some conventional energy drinks.
When should you take electrolytes during a football match?
Electrolytes are particularly useful during intense training sessions or matches, in hot weather or when sweating heavily, to help prevent dehydration, cramps and the drop in performance linked to the loss of sodium and potassium.
Can you combine Activ Hydrate with other Footboks products during exertion?
Yes, Activ Hydrate combines well with a carbohydrate drink such as Hydrate90® during the match, or with a Focus90® shot before the match, to cover the player's energy, focus and electrolyte balance.
How much do Healthspan Elite Activ Hydrate tablets cost on footboks.com?
The tube of Activ Hydrate tablets is available at €9.90 on footboks.com, in Red berries mix or Lemon burst, with free delivery in mainland France from €50.
